Trial Date Set for James 'Whitey' Bulger

The aging gangster's trial has been scheduled for Nov. 5 by a federal magistrate.

A federal court judge has set the trial date for alleged mobster James "Whitey" Bulger for Nov. 5. Bulger is charged with 19 murders.

In federal court Monday, Bulger's lawyers had argued that they need another year to prepare but their arguments were rejected. Prosecutors say that Bulger, 82 is trying to bide his time by delaying the trial.

After setting the trial date U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler set a status hearing for March 19.
