Today's photo of the day is entitled "Harrison Ave like You've Never Seen It," but that's of course unless you're never looked at the sign from directly underneath, facing up towards the sky. I like this photo because of the sharp lines on both the street sign and the building, contrasted with the far-off and soft-looking sky. I also never knew that street signs aren't completely flat! DeBord has trained his dog Bruner to carry his food around the South End. Olmstead designed the Emerald Necklace in the 19th century. This view is of the South West Corridor Park created in the late 1970's, i believe when the demolition for a major highway was halted by Tent City activists. more ›
