Saturday Hours Returning to Branch Libraries

The South End Branch Library will be open on Saturdays beginning September 10.

Saturday hours are returning to the South End Branch Library on September 10, the BPL announced this week. The Tremont Street branch will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays, with regular hours Monday through Friday. As previously reported by Patch, Sunday hours will also be returning to the Central Library in Copley Square beginning October 2. Originally eliminated as part of a cost-saving measure, BPL trustees voted to reinstate Sunday hours at the main library at a meeting earlier this month. The library will be open on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. through May, 2012.
