One victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries following a shooting early Friday morning.
One person was shot in the arm as gunfire erupted in the South End early Friday morning. Officers from District 4 responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Shawmut Avenue and Worcester Street, and, upon arrival, discovered an individual suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the left arm, according to police reports. Police spoke with the victim who stated he heard three or four shots and began running, at which point he was grazed in the arm by gunfire. He was transported to Boston Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries. After speaking with other witnesses who heard the shots but did not see anyone or any car, police learned a 911 caller had provided a description of a possible suspect and getaway …

An alleged South End drug dealer was arrested while making the rounds with a baby on board.
Officers from the District 4 drug control unit received an unexpected lesson in parenting last Friday when they arrested a man they suspected selling heroin while pushing an infant in a stroller. According to police reports, Jerry Cruz, of 33 Moreland St., was observed completing what police believed was a hand-to-hand drug transaction on Northampton Street with a baby in tow. Cruz was arrested and charged with distribution of class A drugs (heroin), distribution of class a drugs within 1,000 feet of a school zone and distribution of class A drugs—a subsequent offense (1992 conviction out of New Bedford). Woman reports being assaulted near Dartmouth Street and Columbus Avenue Friday morning.
Boston police said they are increasing patrols in the South End after a woman reported being assaulted near Dartmouth Street and Columbus Avenue at about 4:45 a.m. on Friday. The woman told officers she was walking in the area when a man assaulted her from behind. She said she defended herself, causing the man to flee in the direction of Clarendon Street, according to police reports. The victim described the suspect as a male, dressed in a black hoodie with something covering his face, jeans worn low with plaid boxer shorts, possibly in his 20’s and a slim muscular build. Police said investigators from the Sexual Assault Unit are actively following leads, conducting witness interviews and seeking additional information from the community…

Catherine Greig admitted to harboring a fugitive, identity fraud and conspiracy to commit identity fraud.
Catherine Greig, longtime girlfriend to reputed Boston mobster James "Whitey" Bulger, pleaded guilty in federal court this afternoon to conspiracty to harbor a fugitive, identity fraud and conspiracy to commit identity fraud. In pleading guilty, Greig admitted to having a close personal relationship with Bulger, fleeing from the Boston area with him in 1995 and assisting him while he hid from authorities for 16 years. Greig admitted to using false identities to conceal herself during her time in hiding. Bulger and Greig were ultimately arrested in Santa Monica, Calif., on June 22, 2011. Trevor Watson faces charges related to alleged attack on local rapper in February.
One of two men convicted in the attack on Celtics star Paul Pierce at a nightclub in 2000 is back in court on charges alleging he was responsible for a Tremont Street stabbing earlier this year. It's the second time in the last month that Trevor Watson, 44, has been brought to a federal jury on charges of tampering with a witness. A mistrial was declared in the case on Nov. 9 because of a hung jury. A new trial started on Monday. Prosecutors allege Watson stabbed local rapper Curtis Best several times outside of Ann's Unisex Hair Salon at 996 Tremont St. on February 27 because Watson believed Best was providing information to authorities in a drug case against him.
