Pet of the Week: Isabelle, Affectionate 5-Year-Old Cat

Looking to adopt a pet? Now up for adoption at the Animal Rescue League of Boston is Isabelle. What a sweetie! Isabelle is a 5-year-old spayed female that couldn’t go with her owners when they moved. She'll come right up to you in her cage, so she can show you how affectionate she is. If you lean in toward her, she'll place her head very gently against your forehead, it is the cutest thing to see and experience.  Having lived in an active house with a young child and another cat, so she may be a good fit in another similar home situation. Pet of the Week: Coco, 5-Year-Old Pit Bull Mix

You can adopt Coco from the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the South End.

Looking to adopt a pet? Now up for adoption at the Animal Rescue League of Boston is Coco. Coco is an independent, 5-year-old pit bull mix who was found as a stray in Franklin County. He enjoys playing with other large dogs, though he does prefer the ladies to the males here in our playgroup. Coco has high prey drive, so he should not go home with small dogs, cats or other small critters. He  walks nicely on an easy walk harness, knows some of his basic commands and seems to be housebroken. He is a laid back guy looking for a couch of his own. Pet of the Week: Wiley, an American Bulldog Mix

Think this dog is cute? He's available for adoption at the Animal Rescue League in the South End.

MEET WILEY! Wiley is a handsome and very sweet 2 year-old neutered male American bulldog mix who was brought to the ARL due to landlord restrictions. He is such a happy boy with a smile on his face all the time! He is a playful guy who loves to play fetch with his toys, go on long walks with his humans, and just run around having fun. Ideally, he’d love a fenced in yard to play safely in. Wiley is very people friendly and gets along with other dogs after a proper introduction. He does not particularly like to share his toys with other dogs, so he may do best as the only dog at home or maybe with a tolerant canine housemate. This Rare Kitty Needs a New Home

Meet Whiskers, the Animal Rescue League's pet of the week.

Whiskers is a very unusual looking, sweet and quiet 13- year-young neutered male cat. He is a black tabby mackerel, also known as a "black smoke" which is super rare! Whiskers has been through a lot of changes lately. After his owner went into a nursing home, he was placed in a new home. However, he didn't get along with the other animals there, so now this gentle boy is looking for his forever home once and for all! Whiskers is a little bit shy here at the shelter, but after a few minutes of petting, he'll close his eyes and relax. He would love a quiet home where he can relax and be loved. Buddy is a cute four-year-old neutered male beagle mix looking for a loving home to call his own. Buddy loves his human companions and will gladly approach his friends for head rubs. His happy face lights up a room, and his cheerful attitude is contagious. He does pretty well with other dogs, and he'll play sometimes, but he mostly just likes to sniff around on his own and observe other dogs playing. Boaz is a Happy Guy Who Wants You to Take Him Home

He loves attention and hanging out with his human friends.

Boaz is a neutered 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix. Boaz came to the shelter because his owner's health declined and he was unable to care for him. Little Boaz is a wiggly and happy guy who craves attention. He loves to hang out with his human friends at the shelter and spend his time by their sides. Boaz also enjoys spending time with the other dogs here at the shelter during playgroup and goes out with the other smaller dogs. Boaz would do best in a home that has dog experience and no children. Make Mabel Your New Family Member

Meet the Animal Rescue League's pet of the week.

Mabel is a sweet and friendly 10-month-old, grey-and-white female guinea pig. Guinea pigs are great pets for all ages. Mabel loves carrots, dark leafy greens and apples. She likes to chew on apple wood sticks and other untreated wooden toys. She also enjoys burrowing in Timothy Hay or hiding in her little plastic house. She gets very excited at dinner time and even sings and squeals for her food.
