The owner of the South End 7-Eleven store that sold the $1 million winning ticket was all smiles on Thursday.
Some lucky person won $1 million on Wednesday night, and he or she bought the winning lottery ticket at the 7-Eleven Store at 1306 Washington St. in the South End. Zenalem Ayale, owner of the store, said he's happy his store was the one to have sold the winning ticket. "I'm happy for the winner, and for the store too," he said. That's because the store gets a financial bonus for having sold the winning ticket. Ayale's store will benefit from a $10,000 commission for having sold the winning ticket. Ayale said he's owned the Washington Street convenience store for the last six years. This is his first time selling a winning lottery ticket.
