I'm hungry, I'm running late, and I…definitely should have made a reservation. Giacomo's on Columbus Ave. is bustling. You know it's gotta be the food, because the décor's not the draw. Dim lighting helps play down brightly painted stucco walls, while wooden café chairs are arranged to make the most of Giacomo's limited square footage. At the early dinner hour, families and couples occupy the tables and although everybody seems immersed in good conversation over their envy-inducing Italian plates, it's not too loud. Even without a reservation we're escorted to the bar and then seated in under 10 minutes. Just enough time to let us order a bottle of house red and salivate over a fellow countergoer's steaming pasta. Giacomo's is making a …
