New Steakhouse Slated for Former Ginger Park/Banq Space

Restaurateur Brian Piccini is seeking the support of the Union Park Neighborhood Association.

A new steakhouse could be coming to the South End. Brian Piccini, the co-owner of dbar in Dorchester and Deuxave in Back Bay, has leased the former Ginger Park/Banq space at 1375 Washington St., the corner of Washington and Union Park Streets, and intends to open a steakhouse there for his third Boston restaurant, according to a Union Park Neighborhood Association email. Piccini, with chef Christopher Coombs, opened dbar, an upscale restaurant, nightclub and lounge, at 1236 Dorchester Ave. in 2005. Unfortunately, from looking in the windows on Union Park St, it appears that the ceiling was removed not long after Ginger Park vacated the space. Though I do wonder if it was dismantled and stored somewhere. Regardless, I'm happy to see something there.   more ›
