A convicted rapist with outstanding drug charges is now a fugitive from the law, after he was released on lowered bail because of the scandal at the Jamaica Plain state drug lab.

BREAKING: Bank Robbery Reported at Hingham Institution Bank

Police say a male suspect robbed the Hingham Institution Bank located at 540 Tremont Street in the South End.

The Boston Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occured at approximately 12 p.m. at the Hingham Institution Bank at 540 Tremont Street. Police said the suspect is described as a white male in his 30's, six feet tall with a medium build and was wearing a blue shirt and a dark blue cap. Fire on Wellington Street Roof Deck

The Boston Fire Department responded to a grill fire that extended to a roof deck on Thursday night.

The Boston Fire Department responded to a grill fire that extended to a third story roof deck on Wellington Street on Thursday night. All residents were evacuated safety during the blaze. Fire on Roof of MBTA Bus Yard

Boston Firefighters responded to a large fire inside a building in the MBTA yard opposite 93, near Albany Street.

Boston firefighters put our a fire on the roof of an MBTA bus yard on Widett Circle midday Friday. According to MBTA spokesman Joshua Robin, the fire was put out quickly Initial reports said that a fire broke out and quickly spread into the roof through a vent at the MBTA's bus yard at 110 Widett Circle just after noon on Friday. Firefighters cut power to the building and gained access to the vent and worked on the roof to put out the fire, according to the BNN alert service. The fire was knocked down by 12:30 p.m., according to Twitter reports.  Robin said there would be liminal service disruptions while the area is cleared and cleaned. There was no immediate word on a cause for the fire.

State Police: Arrest Made in Connection with SW Corridor Indecent Assault

The Massachusetts State Police have made an arrest in connection with this morning's incident at Southwest Corridor Park, according to the office of media relations.

Massachusetts State Police have made an arrest in connection with an indecent assault and battery that took place this morning in Southwest Corridor Park, behind the Back Bay MBTA station. Details of the arrest were not immediately available. The incident occurred at approximately 11:35 a.m. this morning, and details of the assault have not been released. The suspect allegedly fled towards Massachusetts Avenue before being apprehended. According to information provided by the MSP office of media relations, Boston Police provided the initial response to the assault report, and were aided in this endeavor by elements of the state police and transit police.
