Police arrested a woman in the South End who was charged in a Dec. 17 robbery at a Newbury Street consignment store.
At 2 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, officers were patrolling the area of East Berkley Street and Shawmut Avenue when they recognized a woman wanted by the Boston Police for a previous robbery in the city. The suspect was wanted for several armed robberies with a needle. Her latest alleged offense occurred on Dec. 17, when the suspect walked into 219 Newbury Street, pulled out a syringe and demanded money from the cash register. She took the money then fled. Officers arrested Shelia King of 37 Bowdoin Street and charged her with armed robbery. Information in this article was supplied by the Boston Police Department. The victim said she was walking alone on Union Park when a male suspect stole her purse at gunpoint.
A woman was reportedly robbed at gunpoint on Union Park on Wednesday night. Police responded to the area around 10:03 p.m. on December 26 to find the victim on Union Park. She said was robbed while walking on Union Park heading towards Tremont Street from Shawmut Avenue. The victim stated that she had her hood up, but could see a shadow of someone behind her. When she turned, she reportedly heard two clicks, which she believed was the cocking of a gun. The suspect told the victim to drop her purse. The victim was robbed at knifepoint on Upton Street.
Boston Police reported a robbery at knifepoint on Upton Street at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The suspect is described as a white female with strawberry blond hair. Police are searching for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery on Tremont Street on Sunday, according to the Boston Police Department. Boston Police officers responded to a distress alarm at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday at a convenience store located at 973 Tremont St, police said. On their way to the scene, officers were informed that a male suspect with a firearm had robbed the store. The victim was behind the counter when the suspect walked into the store with a large silver firearm. The suspect then pointed the gun at the victim and demanded that the victim empty the cash register. A South End man was relieved of his wallet and cell phone at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon.
Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in the vicinity of Shawmut Avenue and Rutland Street on Saturday. The suspect, described as a black male, between 19 and 21 years old, with a slim build and approximately 5-foot-9, wearing a black windbreaker, a black hoodie and black pants, is still at large. Police responded to the call for an armed robbery around mid-afternoon, and upon speaking with the victim, learned that he had been robbed at gunpoint. According to police documents, the victim stated he left his father’s house on Washington Street when he observed the suspect, who proceeded to follow him to the area of Washington and Rutland, where he approached the victim with a black handgun.
