The Weekly Dig, referred to by many Bostonians as "The Dig," is a free weekly entertainment magazine featuring localMore art, music, food and movie reviews alongside quirky and often humorous news and feature stories. The Weekly Dig also features independent cartoon artists, a crossword puzzle and a sex column called, "Savage Love." Its offices are located in the SoWa district of the South End. Casa Design Boston

Located inside the SOWA gallery cluster at 460 Harrison (formerly Thayer Street), Casa Design is a 2,500-sq.-ft.More boutique showroom that combines form and function for a truly unique assortment of furniture. Proprieter Zhanna Drogobetsky's parents owned Italian Interiors in Watertown, so design runs in her family. From the bedroom to the office, Casa Design's funky, tasteful choices reflect an eye for enduring classics with modern tweaks and a weakness for fine Italian designers.
Lekker Home

"Lekker" is the Dutch word for alluring, enticing, great, attractive and tempting. It is also the name of aMore housewares store on Washington Street that sells stark, minimalist housewares and furniture. 

Lekker was one of the first upscale shops to open when the SOWA district began blossoming, and it has remained a popular neighborhood fixture. Featuring cherry-picked, funky furnishings and housewares from all over the world, Lekker is both elegant and surprisingly affordable. Owner Natalie van Dijk Carpenter is originally from the Netherlands but also spent time living in Paris and New York before coming to Boston; a worldly sensibility permeates the store.

Kingston Gallery
450 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118
Named after its former location on Kingston Street in the Theater District, Kingston Gallery is one of the city's oldestMore artist co-operatives. It was also one of the first to move into the SOWA district, helping pave the way for the numerous others that have gone in since. Artists/members pay dues and share in the space where they rotate showing their work in both solo and group settings. Kingston now has a new Associate Membership available to help initiate new relationships with emerging talent. There is also a space at Kingston called the Center Gallery which is available to rent for month-long shows brought in from outside the co-op.
