South End Burying Ground
Washington St & Rutland St, Boston, MA 02118
The South End Burying Ground is believed by local historians to be a common man's cemetery that served working-classMore families during the early to mid-19th century. Although there are only 20 grave markers visible today, records indicate that more than 11,000 people were buried at the site. Visitors must contact the Boston Parks Department to enter the site, which is surrounded by a high granite wall.
