MSPCA-Angell Pet of the Week - Layla!

Layla the cat available for adoption at no fee from the MSPCA-Angell!

Hot on the heels of the MSPCA-Angell's Olympics-themed “Take Home the Gold!” fee-waived senior cat adoptathon, we've just announced that all adult cats (1+ years old) will be available for adoption at no fee on Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26.

The “End of Summer II” adoptathon is the MSPCA's third fee-waived adoption campaign in the last year, which have helped us place a total of 886 cats into permanent homes.

We are extra excited to present "Layla" as this week's Pet of the Week because, this upcoming weekend only, she'll be available for adoption at no fee. This gorgeous 8-year-old grey and white domestic short-haired cat arrived at our Boston Adoption Center after her owners moved and decided not to take her along.

Layla is a beautiful, mellow cat who loves nothing more than to be by someone's side as they pet her and tell her how wonderful she is.

Because she is spayed and in very good health she is ready for her new home today.  We believe Layla will do very well in a home with kids and other pets (cats and dogs) - so long as introductions are made carefully. The MSPCA has some excellent suggestions for integrating a new feline friend into the home, and you can check those out by clicking here.
