Shooting At/Near Blackstone Square Sunday Night

The shooting left one man with life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

The Boston Globe and Universal Hub are reporting that there was a shooting in the South End shortly after 9:30 p.m. tonight.

The Boston Globe reports that the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Shawmut Avenue, which would be near its intersection with E Berkeley Street. However, Universal Hub and multiple Twitter reports have the shooting at or near Blackstone Square (the 400 block of Shawmut).

The Boston Globe reports that “an unidentified person sustained life-threatening injuries” in the shooting. Universal Hub also reports that the homicide unit was called.

Brian D’Amico (@brianjdamico), G-A Robinson (@lfd8) and a local teenage girl all had the incident at or near Blackstone Square on Twitter. The girl, who appears to have witnessed the scene after the incident, wrote that at least 10 police cruisers were on scene.
