Police: Woman Punched Police Officer at Boston Medical Center

Two women were arrested for resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and assault and battery on a police officer on Wednesday afternoon.

Two women were arrested on the Boston Medical Center campus and charged with assaulting a police officer on Wednesday. 

Boston Medical Center security officers responded to a report of a drug deal in front of the Yawkee Building at 850 Harrison Avenue at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26.

Security officers said they saw the two women exchange pills. When Boston Police officers arrived, they reported finding two women who matched the provided description. The reporting officer claimed to see the outline of a pill bottle in one of the women’s shirt and called for a female officer to perform a search.

While waiting for the officer to arrive, police reported that one of the suspects became uncooperative and began shouting and flailing her arms aggressively.

Officers placed one of the women in handcuffs to prevent any evidence from being destroyed. The other woman reportedly grabbed the officer to prevent him from placing the suspect in handcuffs. At this point, one of the suspects punched the officer in the head, leaving a mark and drawing blood, according to police.

Officers placed Marlene Choukas of 784 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, and Malissa Wall of 129 Fells Avenue, Medford under arrest and charged them both with assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
