Police: Alleged Drug Dealer Caught on Albany Street

Boston Police charged a Dorchester man with drug dealing near Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street over the weekend.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. 

Boston Police charged a Dorchester man with drug dealing near Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street in the South End over the weekend.  

Boston Police Officers reported seeing two men acting suspiciously on Massachusetts Avenue around 8:40 a.m. on July 14.  The two parties held a brief conversation near Albany Street when one of the men reached into his pocket and pulled out money. The other man pulled out an orange pill bottle, and the two exchanged goods.

The officer approached one of the men and asked him what he gave the other man. The suspect replied, “I gave him some Finnegans,” which is street lingo for Promethazine.

Officers searched the suspect and found an orange pill container with 25 pills in it.

Officers arrested David Randall of 540 Columbia Road, Dorchester and charged him with possession of a Class E substance with intent to distribute.
