Police: Couple Found Dealing Pills at Boston Medical Center

Police said they became suspicious when they saw a man and a woman taking pills inside a waiting room at Boston Medical Center.

Boston Police arrested a man and a woman for allegedly dealing drugs from within a Boston Medical Center waiting room on Friday morning. 

Boston Police officers responded to the South End for a report of drug related issues in the adult emergency room at Boston Medical Center at about 7 a.m. on Friday, July 19.

Officers saw the two suspects sitting in the waiting room area with an open pill bottle in their hands. Officers observed the female suspect take several pills from the bottle and put them inside the cap. She then placed a few pills in the bottle cap and handed it to the male suspect. The woman told police that she found the pill bottle on the seat and wanted to see what it was in it.

Officers investigated the contents of the bottle and found a 5 milligram Oxycodone pill, 17 half-milligram pills Clonazepam, a 200 milligram Quetiapine Fumarate and 11 Lithium pills.

Luis Cepada of 794 Massachusetts Avenue and Alicia Beza of 889 Harrison Avenue were both charged with various drug possession charges.

After searching Beza, officers found various identification cards and a four cell phones. Officers charged Beza with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class E substance, and 10 counts of receiving stolen property.

Cepada was charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute, possession of a Class E substance.
