Man Charged with Breaking and Entering on Harrison Avenue

A Boston man was allegedly caught hiding inside a stairwell with a stolen laptop, police said.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a Boston man for allegedly breaking into an office building on Harrison Avenue on Wednesday. 

Boston Police responded to a radio call for a breaking and entering in progress at 500 Harrison Avenue around 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday night.

When the officers arrived on the scene, two men who work for the management company responsible for the maintenance met them and told them that they had received a call from their boss about an alarm.

While officers were in the area, they said they witnessed the suspect exit the side door of 500 Harrison Avenue and followed the suspect back inside. The officers located the suspect hiding in the rear stairwell of 500 Harrison Avenue.

The suspect was identified as Francis Izzo of 270 Huntington Ave. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

Police recovered a brown leather brief case, an HP computer, and a black canvas bag containing tools.
