Back Bay Neighbor: Owner of Fatal Fire Site Negligent

The owners of a Back Bay apartment building that was the scene of a blaze that killed two firefighters in March were partially at fault, the lawyer for a neighboring building claims in a new civil suit court filing.
“The defendants assert that the plaintiff ... was comparatively negligent, and said negligence should bar any recovery by the plaintiff,” wrote Lewis Eisenberg, a lawyer for Oliver Realty Partnership, which owns 296 Beacon St.
