A 26-year-old Boston woman, Saturday morning at their Union Park residence, was arraigned Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court.

Not Guilty Plea Entered

Soren Capawanna is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. An automatic not guilty plea was entered on her behalf Tuesday, as is done for all defendants at district-court arraignments, according to Suffolk County District Attorney spokesman Jake Wark.

Capawanna was released on the $5,000 bail that was posted at the police station Saturday after her arrest. She is due back in court April 6, Wark said.

Victim Still in Hospital

Her boyfriend, who is not being identified by police, suffered a “serious stab wound” at about 7 a.m. Saturday and was rushed to , where he remained Tuesday, according to Wark. On Saturday, he was listed in critical condition but was expected to survive his injuries, police said.

Investigators haven’t been able to fully interview the victim because of his medical state, Wark said Tuesday. However, according to a preliminary investigation, they believe the incident resulted from a “domestic conflict” inside the residence, he said.

No Priors

Neither Capawanna nor the victim has a criminal record, and there are no reports of prior domestic violence calls to their address, according to Wark.

Evidence

After the victim’s clothes were submitted for evidence, police found a small bag containing a white powder, suspected of being cocaine, in one of his pant’s pockets, police said.

A black-handled Wilsthof kitchen knife was also submitted for evidence.
