Cathedral High School Celebrates Athletics Hall of Fame this Weekend

Established in 2011, the Cathedral High School Athletics Hall Of Fame honors those outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and friends of the Cathedral High School Athletic Department. These members have represented Cathedral High School in its highest athletic honor.

Cathedral High School is proud to honor its second class of Hall of Fame inductees from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the school.  The reception and award ceremony will be followed by the inductees attending Cathedral’s crucial football match-up against St. Clements at Madison Park later that evening.  Kick-off is set for 7:00 P.M. and this game could decide the league title.

Highlighting this year’s inductees is Michelle “ICE” Edwards, Class of 1984. Edwards is the one of Cathedral’s most heralded athletes.  She is a former collegiate national player of the year, international all-star, WNBA franchise player and she will also be an inductee into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014.  Joining Edwards are fellow inductees Thomas Moran ’38, James Linehan ’47, John Blaney ’54, Michael Driscoll ’64, Deborah Alkins ’78, and Norman Lowe ’78.
