Members of the Media Will “Sweat for a Cause” for HomeStart in the fight against homelessness

Neither Rain Nor Snow Nor Cold Will Deter Boston Media Personalities and Others From Participating in the Annual ICycle on Feb. 27!

The frosty winter weather will not deter more than a dozen Boston media celebrities from participating in a bicycle spinning class outside in the cold at One International Place, on February 27.  The event highlights the challenges facing homeless families and individuals.  The celebrity cyclists will participate in HomeStart’s 7th annual ICycle, an all-day spinning marathon to raise funds for the organization that works to end homelessness.  They were invited to participate by Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz, his wife Lindsay, and former Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia.  HomeStart provides assistance to individuals and families facing homelessness in the Greater Boston area.

“We are truly grateful to our media spinners and to Clay, Lindsay and Jarrod, who will help raise awareness and end homelessness in Greater Boston,” said Linda Wood-Boyle, President and Executive Director of HomeStart. “The ICycle event is a reminder that one hour in the harsh elements is nothing compared to living without the comfort of a home.”
