When Will Boston Collect Christmas Trees for Recycling?

See when the city will pick up your tree this year.

The big day has come and gone, and what was once a beautiful display of Christmas cheer has devolved into a pile of kindling in your home. It's time to recycle that Christmas tree.

Boston will collect Christmas trees from Dec. 30, 1013 to Jan. 10, 2014. Put the tree out by 7 a.m. on your regular recycling day. Make sure you strip the tree clean of tinsel, ornaments, wire, stands and any other non-recyclable material. Don't put the tree or wreaths in a plastic bag. the trees are composted, so they need to be all-natural.
