"The Field of Dreams" Wiffle Ball Tournament/Fundraiser

The Boston Field of Dreams will be hosting their fifth annual “Field of Dreams” Wiffle Ball Tournament and Fundraiser on Saturday, May 10th at the Boston Athletic Club in South Boston.  All money raised will be donated to the Joslin Diabetes Center, in their mission to find a cure for diabetes.

Boston Police Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald organized “The Field of Dreams” Wiffle Ball Tournament and Fundraiser five years ago after his nine year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.  This exciting daylong event consists of a children’s tournament in the morning, and an adult tournament in the afternoon.  The event, which also includes food, music and a free t-shirt for all who participate, will have activities for kids to enjoy such as face painting, a fantastic petting zoo, Simon says and more!  In four years it has been a lot of fun, as well as raised $207,950. 100% of the money raised has been donated toward research for a cure to Diabetes.

For questions about the event, or to become a sponsor please contact Karen Kelleher at bostonfieldofdreams@yahoo.com.
