Introduction to Blogging at Boston Neighborhood Network Television

A blog is a Web site or part of a Web site that functions as a journal, diary, or place to post your thoughts and opinions pertaining to a particular subject matter. In addition to text entries, a blog may contain pictures, video, and/or audio clips. This workshop will explain the difference between various kinds of blogs, introduce you to some hosting solutions, and show you how to setup your own blog

Prerequisites: Basic computer and internet proficiency

About the Instructor: Talia Whyte is a freelance journalist who has reported on issues related to social justice, media and technology for 15 years.  Her work has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, The Progressive, The Boston Globe, theGrio, MSNBC, PBS, Al Jazeera English, among many others.  She is also the managing director of Global Wire Associates, a new media consulting firm and author of several books on the politics of technology.
