Free Public Debate on BioPharma Drug Development Policy Tonight @ Northeastern University

Northeastern University's School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs welcomes you to the free Myra Kraft Open Classroom series! This week, we examine issues concerning efficiency (or lack thereof) in the drug development process. Dr. Sidney Wolfe (Founder and Senior Adviser to the Health Research Group at Public Citizen) will discuss challenges and opportunities with FDA drug approval process and concerns around bringing drugs quicker to market (e.g., Alzheimer's drugs). Dr. Kenneth Kaitin (Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for the Study of Drug Development at Tufts University School of Medicine) will follow, emphasizing drug discovery and why it lends itself to needing a quicker approval process. Join us this Wednesday, from 6-8pm, at 40A Leon Street, Boston, MA, 02115 (Building: West Village F, Room 20), for an informative discussion and lively debate.
