South End Be The Match Donor Drive

Cure4Rich is an organization and fund set up to help Richard Graham as he battles Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a group of diseases of the bone marrow where the marrow does not produce enough healthy cells.  Similar to Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, Rich also needs a stem cell transplant, but first we need to find a match, as there are currently none in the National Registry.  Rich is 29 years old, the son of a Boston Firefighter (Rick) and Judi Graham.  He grew up in Malden and Mattapan, graduated B.C. High and Assumption College.  He works for the MA Trial Court, is a motorcycle enthusiast and is a huge Boston sports fan.  Rich is a great son and friend.

We are holding a bone marrow/stem cell drive on December 7th from 12-4 in your neighborhood at the Office of the Jury Commissioner, 560 Harrison Avenue, 6th floor through Be The Match (www.bethematch.org).  There will be free parking provided next door for this drive.  We would appreciate if you could share this with your family and friends.  This drive not only supports Rich, but thousands of others who are in need of a blood stem cell transplant.  Testing is quick and painless (a simple cheek swabbing) but can give Rich and countless others a new lease on life.
