Community Colors Opening Reception

United
South End Settlements announces its annual Community Colors exhibit on display
at the Harriet Tubman Gallery November 12, 2013 – January 3, 2014. This
collaborative exhibition will kick off with an opening reception on Tuesday
November 12th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM which features over 40 pieces or
art in a variety of 2D medium. This event is free and open to the public, light
refreshments will be served.

Each
participating artist incorporates aspects of their work that projects their unique
experiences into the halls of the Harriet Tubman House. Some incorporate their
rich histories of living in India, others explore the organic versus man made
world; and then there are artists who triumph over diversity creating art as an
expression of adverse conditions and those who continue to connect with their
pre-retirement advocacy efforts of inclusion.
