Police: Woman Stabbed Couch, Charged with Assault and Battery

At about 10:25 p.m. on January 14, officers responded to a report of a person with a knife at 112 Camden Street.

When officers arrived, they spoke to the victim, who stated that he had gotten into an argument with a woman about him staying out all night. The woman threatened to punch the victim and give him a black eye.

According to police, the suspect then picked up a knife, which she was using to eat dinner, and threatened to stab the victim. The victim stated that the woman never touched him and refused medical treatment.

The suspect stated that there was an argument, but that she made no threats.

Officers observed the knife stuck inside the couch cushion, next to where the victim was sitting.

Candi Williams of 112 Camden Street was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
