Some residents had to find their shovels for the first time all season after Thursday night's snowfall. Now they may have to crank up the snowblowers.
Snow accumulations are expected to be in the 3- to 6-inch range.
Residents can expect the snowfall to begin after midnight tonight. The heaviest of the snow should be from mid-morning to early afternoon.
The storm should dissipate in the late afternoon or early evening.
Due to the recent cold temperatures, the snow is expected to accumulate quickly on the frozen ground. Untreated surfaces will become slippery.
Wind from the northeast will be sustained from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts to 20 mph.
Visibility will diminish to 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile.
A winter weather advisory is issued when snow and/or ice is forecast to develop in the affected areas.
