  • Gyms/Health Clubs
  • Stock Market
  • Call ahead before heading to any of the above establishments to confirm they are open. Many retail stores or gyms/health clubs may be operating on a Sunday schedule or with limited hours.

Closed:

  • Banks 
  • No mail delivery - All U.S post offices are closed
  • Federal Offices
  • State Offices
  • City Hall and Municipal Offices 
  • Schools 
  • Libraries 

Trash Pickup on Columbus Day

On Monday, Oct. 8, there will be curbside trash collection in the South End. 

MBTA

The Blue, Orange, Red and Green Lines, buses and trackless trolleys will run on a Saturday schedule.

The Commuter Rail and the Silver Line will run on a regular weekday schedule.
