VOTE: Best Place in the South End to Buy Flowers

This week's edition of Patch's "Best of Reader's Choice" Awards will be given to the best place to buy flowers in the South End, as voted by you, the readers.

Everybody loves flowers, but you can’t trust just anyone to put together that perfect arrangement. Do you know a guy? Clue us in.

We want to know where the South End goes for flowers. So tell us: “Where is the best place to buy flowers in the South End?”

Vote, comment and leave a review to give your favorite florist the nod as the South End’s best of 2012.

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Where else do you go in nearby neighborhoods that you'd like to have nominated?

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Please see attachment for full rules.

On a " low day " a couple of months ago...( I was facing two surgeries in a short period of time ..) Jimmy , of Lotus Flowers turned my attitude and my day around by creating a , typically , beautiful arrangement ..unasked for and free of charge ....when I picked up a bouquet for someone else . He said " I promise this will make you feel better ...just sit and smell the hyacinths to relax " Along with a big hug . It was the best medicine I could have ever gotten that dreary day ! Thanks Jimmy !

I was walking home from work one day and bumped into Jimmy from Lotus Designs. Jimmy quickly picked up on the fact that I had had a bad day. Jimmy did not let the fact that he had already closed the store stop him from opening. back up. He disappeared for a few minutes and came back out with a beautiful bouquet and handed it to me. He told me to cheer up and enjoy the flowers. I had tears in my eyes when I thanked him. I will never forget that beautiful act of kindness.
