Three Men Charged with Trespassing, Drug Possession on Castle Court

A South End resident, Quincy resident and Somerville resident were arrested for trespassing and drug charges in the South end on Friday night.

A South End resident, Quincy resident and Somerville resident were arrested for trespassing and drug charges in the South end on Friday night. 

Boston Police were called to 15 Castle Court after the security guard observed three men enter the building through the gate located at the corner of Shawmut Avenue and Berkley Street on November 16 at about 9:15 p.m.

The three men entered the stairwell and were observed via a security cameras crouching in the corner, police said. Officers said they then observed one of the men lighting what appeared to be a glass pipe. When officers confronted the men, one of them smashed the pipe while the rest attempted to flee.

At this point, an officer caught one of the men and threw him in handcuffs. When officers informed the man that he was being charged with trespassing, he began to swing violently and became combatant. It took an additional three officers to subdue the suspect.

The other two men were arrested without issue.

John Duarte of 535 Harrison Avenue, Donnell Knox of L.I. Shelter, Quincy, and Ronel Charles of 46149 East Broadway Street, Somerville were each arrested and charged with trespassing, drinking alcohol in public and possession of marijuana.
