Plan for Two Hotels on Albany Street Now Apartment Complex and Hotel

Normandy Real Estate Partners, which had planned to build two hotels on Albany Street, has modified its plan to instead include a 220-unit apartment complex and a 325-room hotel.

The development firm that had planned to build a $125 million double hotel and parking garage complex on Albany Street has announced it will instead build a $150 million hotel and apartment complex.

The new apartment building will feature 220 apartment units and a 325-room hotel that will rise as high as 19 stories on the 1.3 acre lot at 275 Albany Street, according to an article in the Boston Herald

Normandy Real Estate Partners, the firm responsible for the new development, had been approved in 2010 by the Boston Redevelopment Authority for a complex with two hotels and a parking garage between them for a total of 408 rooms.
