PruBoo: Calling all ghosts and goblins for this family-friendly event! The Shops at the Prudential Center will be holding a Trick-or-Treat for Charity event and kids of all ages will enjoy visiting stores throughout the Center where there will be free candy, face painting, magic tricks and other spooky fun. There will also be a kids concert at 2 p.m. with Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys. Register at the Customer Service Desk. Beacon Hill with a Boo: For the past 25 years, this has been the most popular Boston by Foot event. The walk highlights Beacon Hill's rich history of mystery and suspense, ghosts, murders and mayhem, including the home of murdered and dismembered George Parkman, the site where the Quakers were hanged, famous men buried and many more scenes from the massacre. The Haunted Ghost Ship: Yes, there really is a ghost ship in the Boston Harbor and it is named The Freedom. Community Music Center of Boston's 2nd Annual Halloween Jam: This spooky and kooky children's concert is a great way to kick-off the Halloween weekend! Kids ages 0-8 are welcome in their Halloween costumes for this musical extravaganza! Community Music Center of Boston, 34 Warren Ave. (Allen Hall), South End. Free. October 27, 2 p.m.

Halloween DJ Public Skate: This is a spooky edition of the public skate with live DJs taking requests. Costumes are encouraged, but no masks or dangling material below the knee. 27th Annual Children's Halloween Costume Parade: Dress the kids in their favorite Halloween costumes for a parade that will begin at the Bunker Hill Monument to the Training Field and up Monument Ave. There will be a performance by the YAK Dance Crew at 5 p.m. before the parade begins. Halloween Sing-A-Long: The 40-minute sing-a-longs will be "halloweenized" versions of popular children's songs and will include playing instruments and dancing! Bring a trick or treat bag for a special "treat." Halloween at the Frog Pond Carousel: Boston's Frog Pond will be transformed into a spooky carnival this Halloween! Storyteller "Aunty Goose" will be on hand from Roalita's Puppets with hand puppets, comedy and music 4-5:30 p.m. Boston magician Kayla Drescher will be offered magic tricks and sweet treats 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Front Pond Freddie will be visiting throughout the evening. The little ghosts and goblins will also have the opportunity to take a ride on the legendary Spooky Carousel! Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. Carousel rides $3.
