Five Things: New York Times Features South End Love Story

Today is Tuesday, Feb. 21. Here are five things you need to know:

1. There will be some clouds today, but temperatures should still reach the low to mid 40s.

2. “Rebecca Roth, the boss, lived by a strict rule: Don’t date a customer. That was before a Guinness-sipping diner, Stephen Gullo, became a fixture at the restaurant she owns in the South End of Boston.” And so begins the love story of Roth, owner of the Gallows restaurant on Washington Street, and Gullo, a South End resident, chronicled in a recent edition of the New York Times Weddings/Celebration or “Vows” section. The couple wed in Brookline on Jan. 28. Read the full story.

3. Boston.com’s “The Big Picture” feature recently tackled New York fashion week. It’s worth a look.

4. If you’re coming back from the three-day weekend and have been offline for awhile, take a look at our “Week in Review” to get all caught up.

5. There will be a showing of “The Return of the Pink Panther,” starring Peter Sellers, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the South End Branch Library as part of the “Think Pink! Adult Film Series.” The series will conclude next Tuesday at 1 p.m. with a showing of “The Pink Panther Strikes Again.”
