Five Things: Cathedral's Welcome Leads Way at D4 Meet

Today is Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 20. Here are five things you need to know:

1. It should be a good day to have off, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 40s.

2. Cathedral High School’s Derrick Welcome led the Panthers at Saturday’s MIAA Division 4 Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury. The junior thrower placed sixth in the shot put with a heave of 44 feet, 3.25 inches. Freshman sprinter Justice Turner, the Panthers only other athlete in the meet, was 28th in the 300-meter in 39.83 seconds.
