Boston Woman Charged with Robbery at Needle Point

Police arrested a woman in the South End who was charged in a Dec. 17 robbery at a Newbury Street consignment store.

At 2 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, officers were patrolling the area of East Berkley Street and Shawmut Avenue when they recognized a woman wanted by the Boston Police for a previous robbery in the city. 

The suspect was wanted for several armed robberies with a needle. Her latest alleged offense occurred on Dec. 17, when the suspect walked into 219 Newbury Street, pulled out a syringe and demanded money from the cash register. She took the money then fled.

Officers arrested Shelia King of 37 Bowdoin Street and charged her with armed robbery.
