If zip, zilch, nada seems an unusually low inventory amount to have for single family homes priced under $1.2 million, then take note that in the key Brookline zip codes of 02445 and 02446, the inventory was exactly the same on March 1, April 1 and May 1 (per Multiple Listing Service reports). I guess somebody better phone in a wake-up call to Brookline sellers: It’s Spring! Not only is Spring renowned for being the best time to sell your home, but this Spring might be the best seller’s market in Hub history.
In the last few months, I’ve written a number of columns (for a variety of publications) about the strength of the real estate market, but in the “show me” world of residential real estate, you’ll be able see for yourself what happens when you mix an inventory deprived market with a new “for sale” listing. All you have to do is drop by one of the open houses I’m having this weekend for my new listing at 137 Jordan Road, Brookline. This classic brick house with a huge yard is located between Coolidge Corner and Washington Square. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday, 12-2. I’ll do my best to answer any question you have about this great house and this incredible market.
