Local product helps busy parents maintain parent/child bond
Boston parents Jim and Monika Adorney know that between getting breakfast on the table, rushing out the door to work and making it to soccer practice, it can difficult to find a few moments to spend time together as a family. So, they enlisted the help of their three daughters to create Lunchbox Buddies, a product that helps families stay connected during the busy day.
Every packet of Lunchbox Buddies contains a collection
of wacky lunchbox notes, each with a silly message and original cartoon
character created by professional designer Jim Adorney and his family. From
Orbit the Space Cadet to Kelvin the Goofball, every character has a unique look
and personality, and can be colored, decorated and traded.
“My wife and I are big believers that small things like notes in a lunchbox can make a huge difference with your relationship with your kids,” says Adorney. “With lunch notes, I’m able to play an active role in my daughters’ days in a fun and unique way, despite my busy schedule.”
Lunchbox Buddies are already available in a dozen stores statewide, including:
Harbor Light Toy Co
Rhyme 'n Reason
The Toy Box
Paper Scissors Toy Store
The Ocean Village Book Store
Titcomb's Book Shop
East Sandwich, MA
Annie's Book Shop

With two new character lines set to release this fall (including a superhero line!) this homegrown family business is becoming a staple in Massachusetts’ lunchboxes.
