Francesca's Cafe Closes Its Doors For Good

The cafe at the corner of Tremont and Clarendon has shut down.

A cafe in the South End has quietly closed its doors for good this week, after 20 years of service in the neighborhood.

Francesca's Cafe, located at the corner of Tremont and Clarendon Streets is officially closing down, according to South End blogger BosGuy. A phone call to the cafe went unanswered.

BosGuy also reported ownership of the building changed hands in late 2012.

The cafe was known for its coffee, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and baked goods.

Will you miss the Tremont main stay or are you more happy to welcome a new business into the place? What kind of business would you like to see come into the space? Tell us in the comments.
