The Urban Grape welcomes back Chef Jim Solomon and his team from The Fireplace Restaurant for an evening dedicated to all things Mushroom. There will be several savory courses, as well as a dessert course featuring the Candy Cap Mushroom, a sweet mushroom not often used in New England. Chef will also be on hand to walk the group through the many mysteries that surround cooking the perfect mushroom.
Owner and in-house sommelier TJ Douglas will be getting creative with the beverage pairings - pairing each course with wine, sake, beer and a cocktail. Guests can ensure whatever he picks will be the perfect complement to Chef's food.

ABOUT THE URBAN GRAPE:
The Urban Grape features over 850 wines that are uniquely organized by weight, rather than varietal or region. This is a new approach to wine retail pioneered by The Urban Grape called "progressive shelving," which allows the customer to focus on whether the wine is light, medium, or full-bodied. With two Enoline Elite Wine Tasting Systems, customers are able to taste half-ounce samples of up to 16 different wines before deciding on their purchase. Owned by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs TJ and Hadley Douglas, they implement their philosophy of focusing on unparalleled customer service coupled with a “no wine snobs” mentality and a vast selection of wine, spirits, beer and sake. The Urban Grape is located at 7 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill and is open Monday through Wednesday from 9:30AM to 9:30PM, Thursday through Saturday from 9:30AM to 11:00PM and Sundays from 12:00PM to 6:00PM.
