El Centro Goes for Outdoor Seating With Liquor Service

License Board will consider allowing liquor service at a 14-seat patio along Shawmut Street.

Al fresco dining fans may have a new spot to enjoy dinner and a glass of wine on Shawmut Street.

El Centro goes before the city Licensing Board Wednesday to change its liquor license. The Mexican restaurant wants to serve liquor outdoors at a 14-seat sidewalk patio. The seasonal patio space would be open 10 a.m.-10p.m. each day.
