New Orthopaedic Surgeon Joins Boston Medical Center
South End resident joins BMC in the department of orthopaedic surgery.
South End resident Brian A. Silvia, MD, PhD, has joined the department of orthopaedic surgery at Boston Medical Center (BMC).
Silvia is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). His clinical interests include complex hip and knee reconstruction and molecular biology of arthritis and fracture healing.
Silvia earned his medical degree and doctorate of philosophy at the University of Connecticut. After completing an internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Silvia continued his training in adult reconstructive surgery at Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland, UK.
