Boston Medical Center Partners with Streamline Events for Boston Triathlon

The Melanoma Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC) has partnered with the event production company Streamline Events to sponsor the Boston Triathlon. BMC will have a table at the start and finish line of the race to hand out sunscreen and information about melanoma prevention and sun safety.

The Melanoma Program at BMC offers the full spectrum of services for early to advanced stages of the disease and employs a multidisciplinary approach involving dermatologists, specialized surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation therapists. The 13.5-mile course, which begins at McCormack Bathhouse in South Boston at 7 a.m.on Sunday, Aug. 12, will test endurance in swimming, biking and running, ending at the Bay Side Expo Center. Supported by the Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Massachusetts State Police, the multi-sport event is Boston’s only triathlon.
