The Melanoma Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC) has partnered with the event production company Streamline Events to sponsor the Boston Triathlon. BMC will have a table at the start and finish line of the race to hand out sunscreen and information about melanoma prevention and sun safety.
The Melanoma Program at BMC offers the full spectrum of services for early to advanced stages of the disease and employs a multidisciplinary approach involving dermatologists, specialized surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation therapists. The most important factor in treating skin cancer is early detection. http://www.bmc.org/melanoma.htm
