Five Things: Famous Tenor to Perform in South End Saturday

1. After some morning rain, the sun is supposed to peak out around noon and shine by 3 p.m. Temperatures could hit 50 degrees.

Ronan Tynan is probably best known for singing “God Bless America” at New York Yankees games, but don’t hold that against him – he also sang the National Anthem at the New England Patriots 45-10 playoff win over the Denver Broncos on Jan. 14, (in a Gronk jersey!). The Irish tenor will perform a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, in the South End’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross. Tickets are $25. Complete details.
