Famous Tenor to Perform in South End Saturday

Ronan Tynan will be at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

Ronan Tynan, the Irish tenor best known for singing “God Bless America” at New York Yankees games, will perform a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the .

The concert will raise funds for Cathedral Outreach Ministries, which supports a food pantry, health and wellness programs and a free flu clinic.

Tynan will sing selections from traditional, Irish, religious and classical venues. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at two places:

  • The cathedral office, 75 Union Park St. (in the lower ground level of the church), Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The Archdiocese Pastoral Center, 66 Brooks Drive, Braintree, Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
