Facebook Photo Contest Winner 'Best Depicts Charlestown'

Congratulations to Paul Tranfaglia for receiving the most votes on his image.

The votes are in, and local photographer Paul Tranfaglia's image of the Bunker Hill-Zakim Bridge as seen from Pleasant Street is the winner of Charlestown Patch's Facebook cover photo contest.

The image was one of more than 20 that were submitted through the contest, and it received 13 votes in the final round, which ran Nov. 19-21.

"Some very fantastic photos here. But I will vote for #2 because it best depicts Charlestown," Patch reader Bette Task wrote about Tranfaglia's picture.

Another Patch reader, C Ellis, wrote: "#2 shows a neighborhood, which to me represents Charlestown best."

Coming in second place, with four votes, was "Charlestown at Twilight," photographed by Patch reader Jay Poole.

  • "One Thompson Square" by Paul Tranfaglia (#3)
  • "Historic Charlestown at Night" by Stephen Raymond (#8)
  • "Untitled" by Glen Clabo (#15)
  • "Historic Charlestown" by Stephen Raymond (#21)

Tranfaglia will receive a $50 gift card, and his winning picture will appear as the cover photo for Charlestown Patch's Facebook page.
