Haley House Annual Silent Auction & Wine Tasting

On Saturday June 2nd from 4-6pm, Haley House will invite friends and neighbors to its Annual Silent Auction and Wine Tasting at the Haley House Soup Kitchen on the corner of Dartmouth and Montgomery Streets in the South End.

Admission is free of charge, with wine-tasting tickets will be available for purchase. Haley House Bakery Café, a social enterprise in Roxbury, will be providing a delicious array of free appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Silent Auction is a family-friendly event, with children’s games and activities.  We encourage neighbors who are interested to learn more about what we do to bring their families and take the opportunity to tour our Soup Kitchen.  Guests can bid on Red Sox tickets, theater tickets, restaurant gift certificates, local artwork, autographed books, crafts from local boutiques, and much more.  All proceeds will support Haley House.

Haley House Soup Kitchen, opened in 1966 in its present location, currently serves 24,000 hot meals per year and distributes 15,000 meals per year through a weekly food pantry.  Both the soup kitchen and food pantry are managed by a community of volunteers who live at 23 Dartmouth Street above the soup kitchen.  Over its 46-year history, Haley House has grown into a multi-faceted organization that offers affordable, permanent housing in the South End, farm education in rural Massachusetts, and job training and youth cooking classes at the Haley House Bakery Café in Roxbury’s Dudley Square (12 Dade Street).
