The Cathedral of the Holy Cross is the mother church of the Roman Cathlolic Archdioses of Boston and Celbrates Masses in English, Spanish, Latin, German and Ge'ez (old Ethiopian/Eritrean). The Gothic-style cathedral was built in 1866 and can hold up to 1700 people. The Cathedral also operates a grammar school, middle school and high school in the South End.
